Eco Solvent Printing

Eco solvent isn't a type of banner, it's the ink and process — a middle ground between water-based (fine detail, not very durable) and full solvent (very durable, strong smell, needs a well-ventilated space to print). Eco solvent ink gives good colour accuracy and reasonable outdoor durability with a lot less odour, which is why it's the go-to for anything printed and finished in an enclosed space, or going indoors where a strong ink smell would actually be a problem — canvas prints, wallpaper murals, photo panels for a living room or office, indoor POP displays.

We reach for eco solvent when a client cares more about colour accuracy and fine detail — photographs, gradients, skin tones in a portrait print — than about surviving five straight years of monsoon and direct sun. It holds up fine outdoors under shade or in a semi-outdoor spot; it's just not the first choice for a hoarding baking in full sun all day, where standard solvent flex is the cheaper, more practical option.
